Several homes, businesses evacuated due to fumes, risk of explosion

Authorities lifted the evacuation order for the area around the Valley Feed Mill in Winnsboro, TX, Wednesday, reports CBS 19.

The fire at the Valley Feed Mill plant Tuesday was mostly centered on the fertilizer side of the building.

Wood County officials confirmed ammonium nitrate was the chemical involved in the fire.

Several homes and businesses were evacuated due to the fumes from the fire and risk of an explosion.

Firefighters do not yet know the cause for the fire.
