Seedburo Introduces Barge Stowage Exam Kit

New video camera system will mitigate risks of personnel on barges as well as increase operational efficiencies

For years, the safety of barge examination personnel have been a major concern. Employees and samplers are put in dangerous situations to conduct a proper physical stowage exam on barges. They are prone to falling inside open hatches or off the barges due to high winds, slippery ground, or when the barges are in motion.

Seedburo has worked in conjunction with a federally licensed grain inspection agency and equal third-party expertise to develop this first-of-its-kind camera system.

After multiple years of researching, developing and experimenting with several prototypes, Seedburo Equipment Company announces the completion of a new video camera system that will mitigate the risks of personnel on barges as well as increase operational efficiencies for your customers.

This barge stowage exam kit allows for inspection of barges and vessels remotely from the dockside office, eliminating the need to physically enter before inspection. This may reduce your liability insurance premium as well as keep inspectors safe by decreasing the number of injuries. The overall time for loading barges at your facility will also be cut down significantly.
