Ringtown, PA, Mill Destroyed by Fire

No injuries reported in overnight blaze

An overnight blaze engulfed and destroyed the Ringtown Mill early Wednesday morning, reports the The Shenandoah Sentinel.

Firefighters were dispatched to the mill just after 1:00 a.m.

Arriving crews found heavy fire coming through the roof of the structure, and the incident was quickly upgraded to a second alarm with a tanker task force.

Early in the firefight, flames rose high above the scene as the silo was engulfed.

According to Ringtown Valley Fire Chief Joseph Gilbert, at the time the fire was brought under control, just before 4:00 a.m., no injuries were reported.
