Producer Delves into Grain Entrapment for Movie

New film 'Silo' focuses on a community saving teen who falls into grain bin

SILO film

Sam Goldberg is touring the country to promote “Silo,” in which a community races to save a teen who falls into a grain bin.

Speaking from the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, IL, Goldberg told Page Six: “I never knew what a silo or a grain bin was, but we made this movie about the modern American farmer five years ago and it’s become more and more pertinent.”

The movie’s inspired by the real-life story of three Illinois teens who fell into a grain bin in 2010 — and only one survived.

The film, about an 18-year-old boy who gets trapped in a grain bin and a town has to save him, also focuses on the issues facing modern-day farming.
