Poet Biorefining, Alexandria, IN, is increasing its production by 20% with the addition of a new fermenter, says the Kokomo Tribune.

The ethanol-production facility is set to increase its production from 86 million gallons of denatured ethanol per year to an expected 108.27 million gallons, according to a proposed Indiana Department of Environmental Management permit.

The proposal also keeps the door open for the facility to use newer processes as the company looks at utilizing different grains to produce energy.
