Owensboro Grain Builds Third Million-Bushel Bin

Kentucky facility will have its new bin ready by this year's harvest

Owensboro Grain Co., Owensboro, KY, has been busier than normal the past several months, as it's in the process of building its third grain bin that will house a million bushels of soybeans.

Executive Vice President John Wright told The Owensboro Times the improvements would benefit area farmers.

“We have this high-feed, high-efficiency new elevator," he said. "With the unloading system, the farmers are able to unload soybeans at a much faster rate, which is helpful to them because trucks are not stuck in line for a long period of time.”

Wright said everything is on schedule and it should be done by this year’s harvest season.
