Nebraska Man Dies in Grain Auger Accident

A 52-year old Antelope County, NE, farmer died Monday as a result of a farm accident, reports the Norfolk Daily News.

The Antelope County Sheriff’s department released information Tuesday regarding the death of Robert Pokorny, who was using a sweep auger in a grain bin located approximately five miles northwest of Clearwater.

A 911 call was made at 5:50 p.m. Monday. When an Antelope County Sheriff’s deputy and the Nebraska State Patrol responded to the scene, they found Pokorny with life-threatening injuries. He was transported by Clearwater Fire and Rescue to Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh where he later died.
