Michigan Co-op Still Assessing Fire Damage

Not accepting corn while it recovers from Sunday's grain dryer fire

An agricultural co-op said it's not accepting corn while it tries to recover from a fire that damaged a grain dryer on Sunday, reports the Lansing State Journal.

Officials were trying to assess the damage at the Eaton Farm Bureau Co-op facility on Monday, and it was unclear if the dehydrator can be repaired or will need to be replaced, Erin Fracassa, site manager, said.

The co-op is still accepting soybeans but can't take corn for now, Fracassa said. Corn is still being accepted at the co-op's Charlotte and Leslie locations.
