Miami Valley Feed and Grain Cleanup Underway

Following a grain bin collapse in New Carlisle, OH, on Jan. 21

Ohio's Country Journal's Matt Reese followed up with Sam Sutherly, owner of Miami Valley Feed and Grain, Carlisle, OH, after a grain bin collapse on Jan. 21. The incident spilt about 365,000 bushels of corn worth over $1.25 million onto nearby State Route 571.

Sutherly said the grain was cleared by Jan. 24, but State Route 571 remains closed by the City of New Carlisle.

Sutherly reported that the feed mill re-opened on Jan. 29, however the cause of the bin failure is yet to be determined. For Reese's full blog, click here.
