Lightning Causes Elevator Fire

CB Constantini in Alberta, Canada, has $8M-$10M in damage

A lightning strike last Thursday evening is suspected to have hit the CB Constantini Ltd. bi-products processing facility in Brooks, AB, Canada, causing between $8 and $10 million in damages, reports the Brooks Bulletin.

The fire appears to have started on a wooden structure at the tallest point of the building. At the time of the fire the plant was not operating. The night shift was just heading to work.

Although the structure is heavily damaged, firefighters managed to rescue a couple of cats and pulled out some of the company’s wheeled equipment.
