Hank Royer, Abilene, KS, filed a formal complaint with the Abilene City Commission concerning Flint Hills Grain, accusing the grain elevator of a pollution nuisance.
The Abilene Reflector-Chronicle reports Royer complained of constant loadouts, uncovered grain runs, storage piles over city water supply lines, and excessive dust.
Royer said up to 100 trips a day were being made.
The city is considering options, including any conditional use permit that was associated with the original establishment of the facility to determine if there were any standards.
