Amber Deters with The Sabetha Herald reported on a vote by the memberships of Ag Partners Cooperative, Inc., Hiawatha, KS, and The Nemaha County Coop Association, Corning, KS, on whether the two co-ops should merge. The vote reached the two-thirds threshold needed to approve the merger which will now take place on Sept. 1, 2018.

The companies stated that a merger was needed to stay competitive in the industry, but stresses that they will not lose the local touch it's members expect. The new company will be named Ag Partners Cooperative, Inc. and run over 20 locations.
