KAAPA Ethanol Idles Nebraska Plant

Employees will be retained to work on projects around the plant

KAAPA Ethanol Chief Executive Officer Chuck Woodside says the Ravenna, NE, plant will temporarily stop processing ethanol, starting next Tuesday, until fuel demand that has declined greatly due to the COVID-19 pandemic is restored.

The Kearney Hub reports employees still will work on projects around the plant.

The KAAPA Ethanol plant near Minden, NE, will continue ethanol production.

Both ethanol plants will continue to fulfill contracts, post bids and accept corn deliveries
