Le Center, MN, August 12, 2014– Iowa State University (ISU) test was aimed at determining the infectivity of PEDv RNA present in commercial Spray Dried Porcine Plasma (SDPP). Provanco Feeds Farrow X1 was used as another product to combat the PEDv infection in the test pigs.
“We are excited to see the results from this test. It confirms what field trials have also shown using our Farrow X1 product. Provanco Feeds is a great resource for Swine Producers who are looking for a way to slow down the devastation that PEDv has on their business.” – Ron Schmidt, Owner Provanco Feeds
Only the PEDv challenged pigs that received Provanco Feeds product, Farrow X1, had a complete lack of detectable PEDv shedding in their feces at the conclusion of the trial. Provanco Feeds produces all-natural whole egg specialized proteins which contain NO live viruses and therefore cannot contaminate the pigs. Provanco Feeds products are also antibiotic and growth hormone free and therefore have no withdrawal periods.
