Iowa Senator Joni Ernst is concerned that if the government doesn't reopen soon, summertime sales of ethanol fuel could be impacted with the Environmental Protection Agency closed due to the partial government shutdown.
According to a report at Siouxland Proud, President Trump committed to the additional E-15 sales last year.
Ernst said she's worried the agency won't have enough time to adopt new rule before a May deadline.
