Marissa Luck reported for tdn.com that the Longview Export Grain Terminal and the Longview Export Grain Terminal have reached an agreement on a five-year contract. Last time the contract was up for renewal, the two sides could not come to an agreement, which lead to the grain elevator refusing to hire longshoreman. This refusal sparked protests and other activities that impeded the terminal’s operation.

This year’s talks went smoother, with both sides agreeing to a contract with no disruption of work. Sources said both sides wanted to continue to work and continue operations.
