Hansen-Mueller Co., Omaha, NE, has purchased a commercial grain elevator, known as the Katy Elevator, in Kansas City, KS.
With access to rail and truck routes, the 4.25 million-bushel facility is located at 340 Southwest Blvd.
"We are excited to add the Katy facility to our operations in the Kansas City metro," says Josh Hansen, president at Hansen-Mueller. "This acquisition will expand our capacity to store and handle additional wheat and other commodities for our customers and trading partners."
Hansen-Mueller has begun accepting grain at the Katy location.
