Greenville Cooperative’s merger with Beaver Dam, WI-based United Cooperative was approved overwhelmingly with more than 92% of its members voting for the proposed merger.

“I’m pleased the Greenville Cooperative members were able to see the vision of their board of directors and management and support this merger, said Mark Schleiss, General Manager at Greenville Cooperative. “Changes in both the economy and agriculture had put increased demands on our cooperative’s efforts to provide needed products, services, expertise, facilities and equipment for members’ growing needs,” Schleiss said. “Being a part of United Cooperative will give our members greater financial strength for their investment.”

The business merger takes effect April 1, 2017, said David Cramer, United Cooperative president and chief executive officer. “Our business focus is to retain and protect member equity, grow the cooperative’s business, and provide needed expertise through trained and talented employees,” he said. United Cooperative strives to be a preferred supplier in the core product areas of feed, energy, grain and agronomy for both producers and consumers.
