Grain Dryer Fire in Melfort, SK

Incident occurred Wednesday night at Pioneer Grain

The Melfort Fire Department responded on Wednesday at 8:27 pm to reports of a grain dryer fire at Pioneer Grain in Melfort, SK, reports Northeast Now.

Crews responded and found flames and smoke coming out of the dryer.

Crews and staff from Pioneer proceeded to empty the dryer of the grain so it could be extinguished outside of the dryer.

Crews then inspected inside the dryer to make sure all hot spots were extinguished.
