The University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment announces the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Grain and Forage Center of Excellence at the Princeton Research and Education Center will happen 2 p.m. Thursday, reports the Messenger-Inquirer.

The University of Kentucky, Kentucky Farm Bureau, Kentucky General Assembly, the Kentucky agricultural commodity organizations, multiple private businesses and hundreds of individuals rallied support behind the effort to improve upon the grain and forage research and outreach capacity of the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment.

According to its website, the Grain & Forage Center of Excellence at the Research and Education Center in Princeton will use cutting-edge research and outreach efforts to help Kentucky grain and forage producers use sustainable, intensive production practices to better meet the needs of a growing world with minimal environmental impact.

The center is committed to the shared core principles of university researchers and stakeholders and dedicated to answering real-world questions for generations to come.
