Former Dupont Employee Pleads Guilty to Taking Trade Secrets

A former DuPont employee pleaded guilty Wednesday to stealing trade secrets after he went to work for a competitor and took with him hundreds of electronic documents related to ethanol enzymes, reports the Des Moines Register.

Josh H. Isler, 55, of St. Ansgar, IA pleaded guilty in federal court in Cedar Rapids, according to a news release from the office of U.S. Attorney Peter Deegan.

Isler admitted to one count of trade secrets theft and one count of making a false statement or representation to the FBI, the release states.

He faces a maximum combined sentence of 15 years in prison and a fine of up to $500,000.
