Early morning grain dryer fire caused $26,000 in damage

An early morning grain dryer fire at Gavilon Grain in east Kearney, NE, caused an estimated $26,000 damage, reports the Kearney Hub.

When firefighters arrived they found smoke and flames coming from a grain dryer at the north end of the facility.

According to a KVFD fire report, the dryer was filled with 4,000 bushel of white corn and there were several areas of corn burning inside the dryer.
