Fire at Ag Valley Co-Op in Edison, NE

Last week grain bin holding 1 million bushels collapsed

NTV NEWS' Ifesinachi Egbosimba reported on whats being described as a flash fire Ag Valley Co-Op in Edison, NE. The fire took place in the leg of the dry fertilizer and only lasted for a second, but was described as a loud boom. No one was hurt from the explosion. The cause of the explosion and resulting damage is still unknown.

Ag Valley Co-Op has experienced a rough couple of weeks, experiencing a bin collapse last week that may affect their ability to take grain during this fall harvest. The bin that collapsed held over a million bushels of corn worth between 4 and 5 million dollars.
