Continental Search, recruiters for agribusinesses across the U.S., released the results of its second annual nationwide salary survey of feed mill management professionals.

As demand grows for experienced feed mill managers and salaries rise, Continental Search, a recruiting firm with a focus on animal agriculture, uses this survey to provide both clients and potential recruits a better understanding of current compensation levels.

In June, they conducted a nationwide salary survey reaching out to nearly 1,000 feed mill managers, assistant feed mill managers, mill superintendents, and multi-site managers. Roughly 100 responded to this survey.

The survey showed that more than 35% earn over $100K per year, and 61% of feed mill managers have college degrees.

The survey data is broken down by region, whether the mill is for commercial or integrated customers and annual tonnage providing usable information close to home.

Salary information was based on total taxable income, not solely on base salary.

“We are happy to provide salary information that can keep our clients making highly competitive offers," says Continental Search’s Owner Dan Simmons.
