Explosion, Fire Erupt at MGI Grain Processing

No one injured at the East Grand Forks, MN, elevator incident

The Star Tribune reported that an explosion and subsequent fire broke out at a grain elevator on Jan. 4 in East Grand Forks, MN.

The MGI Grain Processing facility sustained hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage, according to the report. No mill employees were injured in the incident. The cause of the fire an explosion are still under investigation, said assistant fire chief Jeff Anderson.
