An explosion and fire late Wednesday damaged Nevada Grain, a division of the Mennel Milling Co., reports the Telegraph Forum.

Troy Johnson, fire chief of Wyandot East Fire and Rescue, explained there was an explosion that traveled throughout the system. The top of one bin had blown completely off and had fire involved in it, Johnson said.

After further investigation, emergency personnel found fire throughout the system.

Julie Reinhart, branding and communications manager for Mennel Milling, said it appears there's minimal damage to the corn in the bin. Mennel plans to make repairs and the facility will continue to be operational.
