Doug McCan has officially retired as Maxi-Tronic, Inc. sales manager.

Doug Mc CanMcCan was a member of the Maxi-Tronic team prior to the acquisition of that company in 1992 by Safe-Grain, Inc. Based in Owensville, MO, McCan has been with the product line for 36 years.

Widely known and respected in the industry, his retirement will be felt by the company and the industry, says Scott Chant, president.

A former National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Top Alcohol Dragster race car driver, Chant says McCan has settled into a quieter lifestyle at his new home in a lakeside setting of his hometown of Owensville, MO.

"While it had been long planned to celebrate retirement with McCan at the GEAPS Exchange 2020, cancellation of that event deprived his friends, colleagues, and industry associates from extending their in-person congratulations and best wishes," says Chant.

Chant notes McCan’s new email account is [email protected] if you would like to send your thoughts to him by email.

McCan has been actively engaged in training his successor, Bo Moran, to offer the same level of knowledge and support. Moran can be reached by phone at (513) 604-0275 or by email at [email protected].
