Crisis Management a Focus For Feed & Grain LIVE

Feed & Grain LIVE has expanded in year two

In most feed and grain businesses, each day can bring a little crisis. Miss-mixed feed, a customer upset over a delivery or billing issue, a rumor circulating among customers that can damage your brand. Handling these day-to-day issues with speed and intelligence isn’t easy — but it is essential.

“If you sell ag products or services, you’re likely to have a customer service problem soon. It happens to all of us and it’s one of the main reasons customers will switch suppliers,” explained veteran ag sales professional and trainer, Greg Martinelli. “As a manager, a sales person or anyone with a customer-facing position in a feed or grain business, solving the daily crisis needs to be a key customer-retention objective.”

Martinelli will host the general session at Feed & Grain LIVE conference and trade show. His in-depth background in sales and customer service will provide the backbone for an interactive presentation to close this important event for ag professionals.

“The people we talk within the industry constantly remind us of the need for customer sales and service coaching. It’s a topic that never grows old – nor should it,” said Elise Schafer, editor of Feed & Grain. “Greg gives a very dynamic presentation with real-world examples learned working out of his pickup truck. Attendees will definitely have take-home value from our general session. Information they’re sure to share with other team members.”

Feed & Grain LIVE conference and trade show will be held May 31 – June 2 at Prairie Meadows Hotel in Altoona, Iowa. In addition to the general session, the event will include several educational presentations, including:

  • How the Trump administration will impact industry regulations
  • Advances in pelleting technology
  • Panel discussion on developing a written food safety plan
  • Grain merchandising and emerging market opportunities
  • Finding, developing and keeping talented people in your business
  • A limited-attendance workshop on mycotoxin testing

You can register for the event at: https://live.feedandgrain.com/. Regular registration is $260. Register before the end of April to save $100; attend the workshop, conference and tradeshow for $160.
