An investment of nearly $10 million in the local economy is up and running at Coshocton Grain Company in Ohio.

According to the Coshocton Tribune, a soft opening was held recently for the new Coshocton Soy Processing ExPress Meal and Oil facility at the grain elevator's location of 475 Browns Lane.

Chief Executive Officer Rhoda Crown said they wanted to make sure all equipment is functioning properly and employees are up to speed prior to the busy harvest season.

At full capacity, the plant can process about 3.36 million bushels of soybeans annually to produce 81,000 tons of soybean meal and 12,600 tons of soybean oil.
