Compeer Financial, a member-owned Farm Credit cooperative, will host the cooperative’s annual GrainVantage meeting virtually on December 8, 2020.

At GrainVantage, farmers will gain insights into grain markets, learn about global happenings and get an update on the economy and interest rates. Experts will also share strategies to manage risk during times of volatility and uncertainty.

The event features keynote speaker Ed Usset, grain marketing economist at the Center for Farm Financial Management, University of Minnesota. Usset will share the ins and outs of developing a grain marketing plan.

Attendees will also hear from Bill Moore, chief risk officer at Compeer Financial, and Adam Gaskill, manager of pricing at Compeer Financial. Moore and Gaskill will share updates on U.S. economics and interest rates.

“As we saw this past year, sound marketing and risk management can help prepare you for variables in the market,” said Moore. “We hope producers can take learnings from 2020 and apply them for an even more successful 2021 crop year.”

GrainVantage begins at 9:30 a.m. and wraps up at noon. There is no cost to attend, and the first 500 registrants receive a book from the keynote speaker. The meeting will also be recorded and available on demand. To register or for more information, visit compeer.com/grainvantage or call Compeer Financial at (844) 426-6733.
