Cargill Closing North Carolina Feed Mill

Twenty-six employees will lose job at Wilson facility

Animal feed manufacturer Cargill is closing its Wilson facility, leaving 26 employees out of a job, reports The Wilson Times.

In an effort to streamline operations and better serve customers more efficiently and effectively in the Southeast market, Cargill has made the decision to close its Wilson animal feed manufacturing facility effective Nov. 29, 2019, and will service customers out of other Cargill feed mills going forward,” Cargill Feed & Nutrition spokeswoman Samantha Hultgren said in a statement.

About 26 employees worked on the 7-acre property. The company said efforts will be made to try to place staff at other Cargill sites.
