ASA President Optimistic About Trade Negotiations

American Soybean Association says resolution to trade war with China would great Christmas present for farmers

The president of the American Soybean Association says a resolution to the trade war with China would a great Christmas present for America’s farmers reports Brownfield Ag News.

John Heisdorffer says this trade war has been costly. “This bean market has been floored out and doesn’t want to move up,” he says.

He tells Brownfield the negotiations couldn’t come at a better time. “We have less beans in Brazil than we thought, and they’re pretty much sold out for the year,” he says. “This is where we usually start to pick up a lot of the market. Let’s get these U.S. beans rolling back to China.”
