Construction on a new AGP soybean processing plant that will have a significant economic impact is underway in Aberdeen, SD, Radio 570 WNAX reported. Matt Caswell, AGP’a Vice President of Corporate Relations and Government Affairs, said the location of its 45-million-bushel/year facility is “ideal for transporting meal to their export terminal in the Pacific Northwest at Gray’s Harbor."

Once completed in 2019, the plant will process nearly 20% of the soybean production in South Dakota, according to Caswell.
