AFIA Seeks Feed Facility of the Year Applications

Program recognizes overall excellence in feed manufacturing operations in four categories

Would you like to know how your plant compares to other similar plants across the country? You could have access to important comparative benchmarking information, as well as the opportunity to be recognized as the American Feed Industry Association’s Feed Facility of the Year, by participating in the 2019 Feed Facility of the Year program.

AFIA is accepting applications for the 2019 Feed Facility of the Year program through Sept. 6, 2019. The award program recognizes overall excellence in feed manufacturing operations, emphasizing safety, quality, regulatory compliance, operating efficiencies and overall industry awards.

There are four categories: commercial dry manufacturer, liquid feed manufacturer, integrator manufacturer and premix/ingredient manufacturer.

Last year's overall winner was Famo Feeds of Freeport, MN.

Other winners recognized in 2018 included: Famo Feeds; commercial dry livestock feed; Koch Foods of Morton, MS, integrator; Quality Liquid Feeds of Clovis, NM, liquid feed plant; and Trouw Nutrition of Highland, IL, premix manufacturing plant.
