The state Department of Labor has opened an investigation into Monday's grain silo accident that trapped five workers.
It happened around noon at George Wood Farms in Camden, which is about 6 miles east of Elizabeth City.
Camden County Manager Michael Wrenshaw say three workers were performing maintenance along the edge of the large silo when they became trapped after a partial collapse. Two other workers who tried to help the three also were caught in the silo. To read more click here.
