USDA Reports Lowest Winter Wheat Ratings on Record for November
With 41% rated fair, 26% in the poor to very poor category
On Nov. 26 The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Agricultrual Statistics Service (NASS) released U.S. Winter Wheat crop condition ratings that reflected the lowest conditions for November in about 25 years, according to World Grain.
In the 18 major growing states, Winter wheat was rated 33% good to excellent, 41% fair and 26% poor to very poor. A week earlier it was rated 34% good to excellent, 42% fair and 24% poor to very poor, while during this same time last year it was rated 52% good to excellent, 35% fair and 13% poor to very poor.
