U.S. Ethanol Output Rose to Three-Month High

Producing 919,000 barrels a day last week


Ethanol production in the U.S. increased to a three-month high of 919,000 barrels a day last week, the Energy Department said in a report on May 23.

Output rose for a fourth consecutive week to the highest level since Feb. 17, according to the report. Stockpiles climbed 3.7 percent to 21.4 million barrels, the most since April 27 and the biggest weekly gain since Jan. 27.
