DICKEY-john Awarded Contract for USDA GIPSA Moisture Meters

Will provide vast majority of moisture meters used for federal systems

DICKEY-john is pleased to announce their selection by the USDA for the GIPSA Moisture Meter contract.  Granted the maximum award allowance, DICKEY-john will supply the USDA with 75 Grain Analysis Computers, Model 2500-UGMA (GAC® 2500-UGMA). The GAC® 2500-UGMA units will be allocated to federal check stations nationwide in preparation for the UGMA (Unified Grain Moisture Algorithm) transition this fall.

Only moisture meters which are GIPSA-Certified as UGMA-Compatible, such as the GAC® 2500-UGMA, were eligible for the contract.  In addition to the required certifications, the bid criteria also included price, warranty terms, product delivery, and past performance.

“Being selected by the USDA to provide the vast majority of moisture meters for the federal system is both an honor and a tremendous responsibility,” said Dave DeAzevedo, Senior Global Product Manager.  “With the quality and capability of the DICKEY-john GAC® 2500-UGMA, along with the nationwide coverage provided by our recently expanded network of sales and service centers, we are confident that the USDA will be extremely satisfied with their selection.”

DICKEY-john’s analytical instrumentation, including the GAC® 2500-UGMA, are designed and assembled inAuburn, IL.
