Pennsylvania Grain Processing Buys Former Bionol Ethanol Plant

Idled plant can process 40 million bushels of grain into 110 million gallons of ethanol/year

The idled ethanol plant in Clearfield, formerly owned by Bionol, has been sold out of bankruptcy to a Michigan farm services company.

Pennsylvania Grain Processing, an affiliate of Zeeland Farm Services, of Zeeland, Mich., purchased the plant Friday.

“Through this acquisition, PGP is poised to serve Pennsylvania with new market opportunities and economic development,” said Zeeland manager Dan Meeuwsen in a news release. “It is our goal to develop viable business opportunities and promote job development as much as possible, helping to add value to the community and the agricultural industry in any way we can.”
