Early registration is now available for the Animal Agriculture Alliance’s eleventh annual Stakeholders Summit, to be held May 2-3 in Arlington, VA. This year, the Alliance’s showcase event will explore the theme of “Real Farmers Real Food: Celebrating Tradition and Technology”.
The Summit is truly a one-of-a-kind conference that is attended by a diverse group of decision makers, including representatives from farms, ranches, food processors, restaurants, grocery stores, legislators, universities and government agencies. The Alliance welcomes Tom Brand, Executive Director of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting, as the 2012 Summit moderator.
Video and audio recordings from the 2011 Summit are available online. Past Summits have explored the impact of activism on our nation’s food security and strategies to strengthen consumer outreach efforts. Here's what past attendees had to say about Summit:
“Thought provoking, insightful speakers and discussion.”
“ Fantastic learning opportunity!”
“Jam-packed with information.”
“Excellent opportunity to network and exchange ideas.”
Early registration for the one-and-a-half day event is $325 for Alliance members and $375 for non-members. The Alliance is offering a special rate of $275 for those in government or academia. Registration materials and a full event schedule will be updated on the Summit website. An adjunct legal workshop will be offered for an additional fee of $50 on May 3 to explore best practices when responding to activist-driven litigation.
The Summit will again be held at the Westin Arlington Gateway Hotel. Rooms are available at a special rate group rate of $239 on the hotel’s website or by calling (703) 717-6200. Conveniently located in the Ballston neighborhood of Arlington, the hotel is within walking distance of the Ballston Metro Station and just four miles away from Reagan National Airport.
New for 2012, the Alliance will welcome Summit attendees and special guests for a special 25th Anniversary celebration during the evening of May 2. This year’s Summit will be social!
