Vita Plus Names New Dairy Technical Specialist

Dr. Angel Aguilar was recently named Vita Plus dairy technical specialist.  Serving Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota, Aguilar will work to further develop dairy customer relationships by providing technical and management expertise.  His key responsibilities will include service of progressive dairies, on-farm technical support for Vita Plus customers and staff, and coordination of technical training for the region’s staff. 

Aguilar grew up on a dairy farm in Mexico and, after receiving a bachelor’s degree, went on to pursue a master’s degree in nutrition at Texas Tech University. Shortly thereafter he received a Ph.D. in nutrition and biochemistry from the University of California-Davis. For seven years, he was a professor at Colorado State University in the animal sciences department. He then worked for almost 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry providing consulting services. Most recently, he served as director of producer, industry and image relations for the Western Dairy Association based in Denver, CO.
