Diamond V Hires Virology Expert

Adam Rogers joins the team as senior research scientist

Diamond V’s multidisciplinary research team continues to grow, with Adam Rogers joining the team as senior research scientist, Virology.

“I am happy to announce Adam has joined the Diamond V team,” says Joan Butler, manager of Diamond V’s Research & Innovation Center. “In this new role, he will lead virus-related research projects and help to drive our virology program for current and new product initiatives.”

Rogers earned his BS and his PhD in Microbiology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His doctoral research focused on telomere-related factors and human papillomavirus genome maintenance. Prior to joining Diamond V, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Pathobiology at Virginia Tech University, studying emerging viral infections in swine.

Rogers has authored or co-authored 12 peer-reviewed journal articles and has led numerous oral and poster presentations. He also has contributed as an ad hoc reviewer for four scientific journals and has received numerous honors and awards for his virology research.
