Corn Futures Slip Despite Trump's Ethanol Enhancement Program

Wheat also edges higher as Russia's export program eases amid quality issues

Corn futures were lower Tuesday despite confirmation of President Trump’s plan to allow year-round sales of E15 gasoline with a higher concentration of ethanol, which may benefit corn prices.

Food Buinsess News also reported that wheat futures edged higher as traders weighed whether Russia’s feverish export program will ease amid reports of quality issues and as Russia’s exportable supplies run out near the end of the year. Strong wheat export inspection numbers and a new export sale of U.S. hard red spring wheat to Bangladesh also provided support.
