In advance of her retirement, Elise Schafer was named publisher of Feed & Grain. This transitional period will enable Sambs to share industry knowledge, foster client transitions, and support business continuity and continued success.

“I look forward to a smooth handover of key stakeholder relationships across all Feed & Grain partners and audiences and am excited to re-engage and expand the Feed & Grain advertiser base,” says Sambs.

For more than a decade, Schafer has led content development for the media brand, including print and digital assets. While serving as editor, she was instrumental in the development and design of new services for advertisers to connect with grain elevator and feed mill managers, including the redesign of feedandgrain.com, the Feed & Grain LIVE event and the Feed & Grain LIVE webinar series.

In her new role, in addition to oversight of the editorial direction, she will be leading the sales strategy for the publication as well as circulation and production.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to lead change and innovation for the Feed & Grain brand while working closely alongside Arlette for the next several months,” Schafer says.

The staffing changes are effective Oct. 16, 2020.
