Corn was one of the fastest-growing top U.S. exports in 2018. According to a report at Forbes, that's impressive given that 2018 will prove to have been a record-breaking year rich with fast-growing exports.
Not only will the 2018 total top the 2014 record, total U.S. exports will have proven to have grown at their fastest pace in a decade, when annual statistics are released in early February.
There's even a chance corn will have slipped past soybeans to rank as the United States' top agricultural export, given that the latter is caught up in the U.S. trade war with China. Corn was last the leading U.S. agriculture export, by value, in 2007.
