Columbia/Okura, Vancouver, WA, announces Sabine Woodall has accepted the position of materials/supply chain manager.

Woodall brings tremendous experience to Columbia/Okura’s operation. Her supply chain career started shortly after receiving her degree in Foreign Trade and Distribution from Berufsschule in Kuenzelsau,Germany.

While attending Berufsschule, she participated in an apprentice program affiliated with Wurth GmbH & Co. This apprenticeship gave her a great background in all facets of Wurth’s business. Upon completing this program, Wurth offered her a position in purchasing in the USA-this temporary role led to a 5 year assignment, ultimately being responsible for worldwide purchases.

Following her assignment at Wurth, Woodall joined Karcher North America as Purchasing Manager. There, she managed a team of 5 buyers, and was responsible for all purchased materials. Her success took her to a Karcher plant in California, as Operations Manager, where she was ultimately responsible for relocating the company’s facility in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, to Monterrey, Mexico.

After her successful operation’s assignment in Camas, WA, Karcher promoted Woodall to Director of Materials Management (Karcher North America).

In this role, she was responsible for managing purchasing and warehouse operations. After three years in this role, Woodall was promoted to director of procurement, responsible for an $80 million purchase spend and overseeing nine-person supply chain teams at three separate locations while in Camas.
