New feed mill, canola crushing plant opens in Melfort, Saskatchewan

H&H Commercial Trade and parent company AmCan hope to build 30 more facilities throughout the province.

On October 18, H&H Commercial Trade and its parent company AmCan Group, an international company based out of China, celebrated the opening of their feed mill and canola crushing plant in Melfort, Sasketchewan.

The facility will source canola from local farmers, extract the oil and use the rest for animal feed. The company expects to produce over 30,000 tonnes of product per year.

According to reports, this specific plant marks the company’s first in Saskatchewan, however, the company hopes to build around 30 throughout the province.
