GrainsConnect’s third inland terminal at Vegreville, just 100km east of Edmonton, will open in the spring of 2019 and Huxley will follow in the fall of 2019 marking a total of four operational sites across Western Canada.
Locations in Vegreville and Huxley have been strategically chosen to service growers with GrainsConnect’s game-changing supply chain, and to leverage the momentum created by the successful operations of GrainsConnect terminals in Maymont and Reford, Saskatchewan.
As of June 1st 2018 GrainsConnect has been receiving grain from growers to their Reford, Saskatchewan terminal. Operations in Maymont have been successfully underway since December 2017. Each project features a state-of-the-art 35,000 tonne grain terminal with the ability to load 134 rail cars in under 14 hours. GrainsConnect has seen considerable growth in their Saskatchewan operations since the opening of their first terminal in Maymont.
