Western Grain Marketing leases elevators

Farmers Elevator's grain elevators are located in Biggs, Illinois, and Easton, Illinois, and feature a grain storage capacity of over four million bushels.

Western Grain Marketing (WGM) has leased the grain elevators owned by Farmers Elevator Company in Biggs, Illinois, and Easton, Illinois.

The grain elevators feature a grain storage capacity of over four million bushels. Biggs and Easton has grain sales of 6 1/2 to 7 million bushels annually.

The Biggs and Easton locations will complement the current WGM assets helping to provide a greater level of service to farmers, said a statement from WGM.

WGM provides grain storage, trucking and grain marketing services through its 21 locations in Western Illinois and has a total storage capacity of 36 million bushels with annual grain sales of more than 80 million bushels. Western Grain Marketing is a joint venture between GROWMARK, Inc., Sunrise FS, Prairieland FS, Inc., and West Central FS, Inc.

Headquartered in Bloomington, Illinois, GROWMARK is an agricultural cooperative serving almost 400,000 customers across North America, providing agronomy, energy, facility engineering and construction, and logistics products and services, as well as grain marketing and risk management services.
