Michigan Grain Elevator Slated for Sale

Liquidation sale of closed Britton Elevator is scheduled for December

A liquidation sale for equipment at the closed Britton Elevator Inc. in Michigan is scheduled Dec. 4, with one area elevator already leasing space in the grain terminal located off M-50 in Lenawee County reports The Monroe News.

The sale will be done all online by Sheridan Realty & Auction Co. and will include items such as sprayers, tank wagons, electric motors and office furniture.

John Marion Inc. Grain Elevator in Dundee is leasing about 400,000 bushels of space this fall at the Britton elevator due to a need for more storage for soybeans.

The Britton elevator was formerly owned by the National Farmers Organization (NFO).
